The Story

Jason Mraz built his following the acoustic-coffeehouse way, and broke wide with 'I'm Yours', the loose, ukulele-driven single from We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. (2008). The song peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 but spent 76 weeks on the chart, breaking the record for longest-charting Hot 100 song at the time — a record that has since been surpassed by Teddy Swims' 'Lose Control'.

In 2010, Mraz and Colbie Caillat won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for 'Lucky', a duet the two co-wrote together. Across albums from Waiting for My Rocket to Come (2002) through Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride (2023), Mraz has kept his sound consistent: warm, wordplay-heavy pop built for singing along.

Off stage, Mraz owns a five-and-a-half-acre avocado farm in Oceanside, California, now run as Mraz Family Farms — a working organic operation, not a hobby prop, and part of a broader environmental and food-system advocacy that runs alongside his music.

Two decades after 'The Remedy' and 'I'm Yours' made him a radio fixture, Mraz remains one of pop's steadiest working songwriters — still touring, still releasing albums, still easygoing by design.
